Literacy Action does not administer the GED test, but we want to help you get the information you need to take the test.

Am I eligible to take the GED Test?

You are eligible, if you:

Are at least 16 years of age

Have not graduated from an accredited high school or received a high school equivalency certificate or diploma

Are not currently enrolled in a regular high school

Able to provide positive identification with proof of age.


How much does it cost to take the GED Test?

$95.00 for the entire test

$19.00 per section


How many sections are there on the GED test?

The GED consists of five (5) separate tests in the following subject areas:

Reading, Language Arts 

Writing, Language Arts

Mathematics

Science

Social Studies


Where can I take the GED Test?

I have already take the GED Test. How can I receive a copy of my transcript and/or diploma?

To obtain a copy of your transcript or receive a replacement diploma, contact the Technical College System of Georgia, Office of Adult Education, GED Testing Program.

The fee for a duplicate diploma is $15.00 and $8.00 for a official copy of your transcript.
