All of the classes offered at Literacy Action are FREE for adults interested in raising their literacy level and improving workplace skills. 

There is a $15.00 testing fee that is required at the beginning and end of each semester.

Our Program

Our program is designed to help students reach their fullest potential through basic and essential reading, writing, critical-thinking, math, computer, job readiness, and academic skills necessary to master the GED tests. 

LAI's curriculum is designed to teach students "how to learn" as they develop into:

1. More versatile and qualified employees
2. Educational role models for their children
3. Responsible, participating citizens
4. Life-long learners. 

LAI's total program is comprehensive.  Our curriculum enables students to meet and exceed the literacy standard defined by the U.S. Congress in 1991.  Further, it is responsive to what employers say they need most in a workforce.
